Unlock the Inbox: Advice from SKY Sistas
21st June 2022You know SKY girls have always got each other’s backs. That’s why when one of SKY sisters need our advice, we come through for her. Here was her dilemma and some of your replies.
She asked:
"My bestie really wants us to choose the same subjects for 3rd and 4th form so that we can stay in the same classes. Lakini she wants us to drop Physics for History and I looooove physics. How do I tell her no without causing drama?"
-Janice
You answered:
It’s about doing your thing. Tell her Physics is what you love na hauko willing ku-compromise on that one subject. She’s your bestie. Ataelewa.
-Wagio
You shouldn’t have to compromise your joy for a true friend. Mwambie the truth with kindness and remind her you’ll be pamoja in the other classes.
-Daniela
Heh! Ukijaribu ku-please other people utakuwa so miserable. Fuata your dreams babe. Kama your friendship is built on being true to yourselves, ita-survive.
-Kendi
Hata mimi na-love Physo! I wanna be an engineer in the future. A thing that might help ni kumushow why you wanna study physics so asifeel ati you are just doing it to avoid being with her.
-Sandra
I’m guessing by the time umedecide on a subject umeshow your parents, ama? Tell her that mulikuwa musha-discuss taking Physics with your folks because you love it. She’ll get it.
-Leah
Girl, at the end of the day result slip itakuwa na jina yako pekee. Let her know Physics ni your fave na hautaki kuiacha. She can be disappointed, lakini if she gets mad at you for that then wacha ikae, she isn’t doing right by you.
